I met Carol at a cooking class. She was trying to learn how to eat healthier. Her kidney doctor told her to not eat meat, fish, or dairy since her kidneys were only working at 50% of their capacity. I could see she was clearly motivated to make changes. I suggested she attend the next CHIP program which she did.
Carol came every night to class. She was enthusiastic and began making simple lifestyle changes. She learned that by making the lifestyle choices taught in class, many of her diseases could be slowed, stopped, and reversed.
And that is just what happened. By the end of the five week CHIP program, Carol was feeling better. She went back to her kidney doctor. Tests confirmed Carol’s kidneys were now functioning at 74% of their capacity – an increase of 24% in just five weeks. By the way, Carol was also a type II diabetic when she started the CHIP Program which was futher damaging her kidneys. By making the lifestyle changes she learned in CHIP, Carol is no longer a diabetic. Her doctor has taken her off her diabetes medication. She has als lost weight and her cholesterol went down.
Carol is now back on track and has a new lease on life. She said, “I couldn’t have done this without CHIP. CHIP taught me what I needed to do to regain my health and resume activities I previously was unable to do because of my health. I am feeling great! “
